Details

Stealthy, subtle and simply amazing, Cannondale's savagely fast SuperSix EVO Black Inc. has a voracious appetite for winning. Equipped with Cannondale's Ballistec Nano carbon frame and fork, this bike accelerates your riding to the next level. From aerodynamic touches like narrow down and top tubes and slim fork blades, to compliance zones that damp vibrations and boost speed, to specifically tuned high-strength, high-modulus fibers that maximize the strength and stiffness, the EVO is one of the quickest, most-responsive, best-handling bikes you'll ever ride. The blacked-out component spec includes wing-like, featherweight ENVE Smart 3.4 carbon rims laced to Chris King's jewelry-level R45 hubs, Shimano's 11-speed Dura-Ace 9000 components for shifting and braking perfection, and a Cannondale Hollowgram SISL2 with both 53/39 and 50/34 OPI chainring sets. Add in top-end components from ENVE, Fizik, and Schwalbe, and feed the SuperSix EVO Black Inc's voracious appetite for winning.

Tapered head tube and fork. For increased stiffness and improved steering precision, tapered head tubes (see image, on left) and forks pair an oversize lower steerer tube (usually 1 1/2-inch, see image, on right) with a standard diameter upper steerer tube (usually 1 1/8-inch). This combination sheds weight compared to straight 1 1/2-inch systems, and adds stability and stiffness when compared to straight 1 1/8-inch systems. The result is a bike that tracks better through corners while allowing for the use of standard stems.

    Comments:

I'm a snowbird and purchased the bike a week before returning home to NJ. Did a couple of rides in FL but couldn't fully appreciate the bike until returning home. In NJ the roads are not flat or smooth like FL On N J's twisting bumpy roads the bike handling and braking were superb and onthe downhills I was flying I have been riding for 30 years and this is by far the best bike I have ever owned. Mario in the Pembroke store made the purchase a painless process
