Great Folding Bike

    Comments:

This is a great folding bike at a great price. The ride is excellent and the handling very good. The "P" in the name stands for premium and the components reflect it. Even the seat, grips and tires which are parts I usually expect to have to upgrade are excellent. I packed this bike in a suitcase, and took it with me on a overseas trip. The light weight is a real bonus. I really enjoyed ridding it there. I can recommend this bike for anyone looking for a "upgraded" folding bike or just a fun bike to throw in the trunk of the car.

      Comments:

When I first saw the folding bikes I thought they were interesting but was quite skeptical of their ability. I thought they were only good for recreational use or short distances. Now I know better and I love my Dahon. I was sold the moment I got on it, simply because it is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever experienced. I have lower lumbar back issues and being able to completely adjust my bike to whats comfortable to me is a bonus. I commute approx 21 kms per day one way from New Westminster into mostly Vancouver 5 days a week. Unfortunately I do not always get an opportunity to cycle home so most days I skytrain back. I am a 30 yr old wife & mother of two. I work in trades in various locations throughout the lower mainland but commonly in Vancouver. I carry my tools and other supplies in pannier bags on the rack of my Dahon (total weight 50lbs). I am not the fastest rider but I make the same amount of time on my commute as I do with a rigid frame bike. I love that I can take my Dahon anywhere & everywhere with me. It's never an inconvenience. If I cycle to a friends house and we go out someplace later I can fold my bike and store it in their small car. If I need to skytrain outside of permitted hours I can simply fold my bike and it becomes luggage. My 10 yr old daughter and 9 yr old son can both ride my bike as well as my husband - super versatile. I love that on job sites I can store it safely where I can see it and keep it dry. Its a great conversation piece for people of all ages & backgrounds. I also thought 8 spds was not nearly enough but I do New West to Vancouver in an hour and never run out of gears, and I'm sure my body benefits when I go uphill using my muscle instead of granny gears :) I am very satisfied with my Dahon. I love to do Yoga and the guys at work joke that my bike does yoga cause it can fold but everyone thinks its great! :)

Two of these bikes fit neatly in our trunk. We drive to our "base" then cycle from there.

After much dedicated research, online and visitng bike shops, I decided on the MU P8... and couldn't be more happier. Great bike, about 25 lbs, rides well, and has a nice shiny blue aluminum frame. Components are better than the average Dahon folder. I actually ride this bike every day, mostly to work, but also for local errands around the neighborhood. Better value than Brompton, Mobiky, Breezer, or other more-expensive folding bicycles. Unless you actually see and ride this bike yourself, you won't believe me when I tell you how really nice the MU P8 really is.
